I heard the call during quarantine to move my dreams forward. Did you hear it, too?
The launch of my consulting company, Allison Berardi Consulting, has been one of those dreams. I have been consulting with other companies for the last 13 years, but I have never formally launched my consulting business. I was always busy working on so many other wonderful businesses. It has been deeply satisfying to move this dream forward to help individuals and companies take their businesses to the next level! My other dreams have been tied to my health and wellbeing. I have always wanted to grow my own food, ever since an internship on an organic farm in my twenties. I have also long wanted a sustainable lifestyle change, but my busy schedule kept me from the time and attention that it required. I am thrilled to report that I have designed two planting boxes, ordered the best veggie mix soil I could find and presto, I am now growing food. I am also down 20lbs and have been able to commit to working out four times per week and to a health enhancing, anti-inflammatory diet without the struggles that have come with all of this in the past. Empowerment…
Let’s empower ourselves! The best we can do for the world, right now, is to move our dreams forward and to help others move ahead, too. The world needs our dreams, our creativity and our love. I love this quote by Kahlil Gibran, “Our work is our love made visible.”
Wisdom…
For some of us, big changes are afoot in our work. We may be shifting the way we do our business and having to make difficult choices. My wisdom teacher, Angeles Arrien used to say, “If it is at your gate, you can handle it or it wouldn’t be there.” We are more than sufficient to meet the obstacles we face and to reframe them as opportunities for our development. Some of the greatest personal development comes from the journey we take in our businesses.
Revenue Tip…
There are a lot of scarcity conversations going on in the media, right now. The collective consensus trance is strong and powerful, but don’t believe the hype! There has never been a better time to invest in your business, even in small ways.

Make sure you are communicating clearly about the business you are conducting. It is a great time to review your messaging for clarity and simplicity.

Are there any new products or services that you want to offer that you did not previously consider? Now is the time to bring them forward.

Don’t be afraid to charge – you can customize payment plans or offer discounts but please, please, please, value yourself and what you offer.
